Rajini And Politics

One does not understand why the fans are applying pressure on an indignant Rajini to enter politics. At a time when Rajini is enjoying his real life which is not so in most of his reel life, asking him to take to politics, is not correct. Yes, he has done the roles of politicians, saviour, etc., in his reel life to perfection but these cannot be replicated in real life. Through in Tamilnadu. The medium of cinema and politics are inseparable, as most of those who had have innings in cinema have entered successfully in politics and are ruling the roost, politics being the last refuge of squanderls, it fits only quite a few. While the matinee idols like NTR, MGR, the DMK leader, Mr. MK and Jayalalitha have made a mark both in reel and real lives, the yester year mega star Sivaji Ganesan, who has had a great fan following, could not create any ripples. Starting his own party after he was ditched by Congress. Mr. Sivaji could not retain his deposit while contesting an assembly election in his own home town. While the same fate of Sivaji may not befall others, still, based on the present mood of the fans, nothing can be predicted. Among the fans, there could be two sections one wanting him to enter politics and another against. Such being the case, Rajini should think twice while entering into the troubled waters of politics. Just because the mega Telegu star Chiranjeevi is entering politics, the others do not need to follow through. Rajini has come to entertain the masses through his histrionics and he should feel happy he is able to do it. And, what is he going to achieve by plunging headlong into politics? MGR did it with perfection and not everybody can be MGR!.
